Psuedo Public Library
Hey all,
Long time visitor but first time poster here. I understand open carry is allowed in public libraries but what about a library which is an "independent, private corporation, to serve as the county agent for the provision of public library services." see link: http://www.pcpl.org/index.php Technically I guess the library is private but approximately one third of its funding comes from the county budget. I assume the library would be at risk of forfeiting public funding should they prohibit firearms (concealed or otherwise) but not as positive as I like to be on these issues. Any empirical guidance, opinions nonwithstanding, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

RE: Psuedo Public Library
I would guess it would be just like any private college that gets public money. It's still a private institution.
Its rules are the rules. But, hey...I'm not a lawyer!
