Open vs. Concealed
I am an avid Nutnfancy subscriber on youtube as I'm sure many of you are and I've been struggling with a decision lately. It seems like he advocates concealed carry A LOT even if open is an option. I know a lot of pros and cons for each and I'm having a difficult time trying to figure out which offers more benefits(I'm guessing more for open considering the forum name. lol) and I'm hoping to get thoughts from forum members here on the subject.

RE: Open vs. Concealed
Whichever you feel more comfortable with is always the answer.

RE: Open vs. Concealed
I agree with Aran.
If you asked 30 people, you'll get 30 different answers. Everything from "CC always" to "OC always" and every possible degree in between. I do both, depending on the situation, of course. |

RE: Open vs. Concealed
I'm also with the camp of carry CC or OC depending on what I'm doing (or going to be doing)and what I think is best for that occasion. I might be working around the yard (OC) but later may be going somewhere that it would be advisable to CC.

Welcome aboard, ngordon82! The advantages and disadvantages for both open carry and concealed carry will be different for each person. And also different from one circumstance to another. Each individual will have to weigh the options for each set of circumstances they face. That said, PAOC mission is about educating folks that the choice to carry un-concealed exists, and some of the advantages and disadvantages, generally, that carrying un-concealed may bring. We hope that by providing this site and it's forum that folks like yourself can read about others experiences and opinions, as well as ask questions, to help you better make an informed decision about OC. I am not an attorney. The above is NOT legal advice, it is my opinion and/or my understanding of the circumstances being discussed. |

RE: Open vs. Concealed
Thank you all for the advice. I think personally to me it makes sense to switch back and forth depending on the situation as many of you have said, however I'm worried that by doing so I'll overcomplicate my draw since everyone says that once you're in the moment your body just reacts off of muscle memory. What concerns me is that if thats true, and I go to reach for my gun and I happen to be cc'ing at that point and I fumble expecting it to be right there on my belt when it isn't. I'm probably overthinking this though.
