The LAW regarding open carry in PA (FULL MPOETC PAPERS)
Hey all, I have not posted here in a long time, but I found this and think I should share it. It is a FULL COPY in PDF format of the MPOETC course regarding OPEN carry. I printed it out and carry it folded in my back pocket, might be a good idea incase someone says YOU CANT DO THAT BECAUSE THE LAW SAYS YOU CANT or something of that nature.

RE: The LAW regarding open carry in PA (FULL MPOETC PAPERS)
Great post.
So , the manager at Wally World can tell you to coverup , even if you don't have a CC permit , and your still legal......right ? A Peace Officer who observes a person walking the dog , on a sidewalk , Open Carrying without a CC permit , is violating the law him/her self , when he/she tells a person to coverup.....right ? Should you conceal your firearm because someone told you to and you don't have a license, you will have commited a crime punishable by jail time and the lifetime loss of your 2A rights. A cop telling you to cover up is no different than Joe sixpack telling you to. If you do not have a license, you can't cover, legally. Should the LEO use his position to force you to cover, such as threat of arrest, THEN he is violating the law. shooter357 |

Thanks!! I printed a copy and will have it with me in my car. While I do have a LTCF, I don't always choose to cover up.

If you visit a State Park, you must conceal. Other than that, with a valid LTCF, yeah you can go about your normal routine. Be prepared for a possible negative encounter. They are some what rare but entirely possible. It's a good idea to carry a few of the flyers found on this site with you, as well as a voice recorder. Stay safe. |
