Hoping to find fellow OCers in Erie. What Experiences have you had OCing in the city? Any problems? Any areas to stay away from? I Just found out OCing is legal, and lost my LTCF a few years ago, I just reapplied 1/21/2010 so will find out in about 10 days according to Sheriff Amendola.
When you say lost you mean physically lost it or it was revoked?
It was revoked, I was at a Wal-Mart, and my firearm was concealed, I bent over to get a case of spring water and it became exposed. Someone freaked and called Millcreek Police. The stopped me and harassed me for about 45mins. I was called into the sheriff’s office and railed for an hour, about how they were going to take my LCTF, if I had anymore incidents. I got into an argument with my neighbor about a month later and 3 days after that, a letter ordering me to surrender my LCTF, or face consequences. It was supposed to be a one year suspension. When I reapplied about a year later I was rejected, and another rejection about 1 1/2 years after that. Quoting the incident at Wal-Mart for the reason for rejection.

Sounds like a case of an illegal denial to me. OC is not grounds to revoke or deny an LTCF. I'd reapply and if they denied for that again appeal it.
Several members here have personal experience dealing with this kind of thing and I'm sure they'll be more than happy to offer advice and guidance.
I did not know about open carry at the time. I only heard rumors, then was turned on to this site by a fellow gun owner. I have full intentions on fighting for my rights. I am contacting a lawer, as a preemptive strike, should I need to take such action.
ANYONE willing to give me advice I would appreciate it!!!
OC has many LEO issues. its just easier to CC and try not to ever branish your gun unless your defending yourself from an attacking assailant..anotherwords; you see my guy its likely the last thing you see.

Seriously?
You are on an OPEN CARRY website. In fact, the name is Pennsylvania OPEN CARRY. If you are not an OC'er and prefere to CC then there are other websites that might be more suited to your taste. And stop using the word "brandish". It is a word used by liberal wimps and "other" states. Besides, what is wrong with people seeing your gun? I have found that people are nicer when I have it strapped to my hip for all the world to see.

LEO issues? You mean you have to educate them? That is normal for a lot, not all LEO, but a lot. You are doing something that they believe they are the only ones who have a right to do. Carry a weapon openly. What is branish? Surely you are not referring to a weapon in a holster on someone side?

I have to agree. Weapons have that effect.
