I `live in phila. pa. have had a carry permit for a dozen years or so. Recently, phila., passed a law, stating that a firearms lost or stolen be reported. They have yet to irn out the formalities of this rule. Nonetheless, I recently lost a firearm, and reported it to the police on the same day. My license to carry was taken from me and I had to appeal my case to license & inspections. So i followed thru had my brief hearing and that fast the board agreed to revoke my license. In order to appeal to a higher court, I was told the I would need the court transcripts for the appea process. Since the dictation is done by an outside company I was told that the min. cost for the report would be 275.00 plusfive dollars for each additional page. Know is the justifiable, when I presented my case and had explained that my new holster had become unclipped while loading a box in my van and my small derringer had fallen out. Ir clearl appears as acut and dry situation for anyone who loses their firearm in philly. Does it pay to report it!
